Sadly true besides the ending of course. Don’t bring your work/school frustration home, everyone else in the house probably experienced the same. Ask nicely for consolation and support, without forgetting to give back!
Artist problem from experience.
This annoys me pretty much.
You like to draw anthromorphic characters? Then you must be furry, therefore you fuck your dog/cat/or you’re fucked by your dog/cat.
You draw in anime/manga style? Then you must be attention seeking kawaii shiny animu desu artist, who in reality is really lonely and draws waifus/husbandos to comprehend the solitude.
And so on, and so on.
Society is never pleased.
I never understood also one thing. If you don’t enjoy what artist is making, why you’re still looking at it? To feed your hatred and then stroll around web sayin’ “Artist X is such fucktard, wow, such originality, he’s a sick fuck” based ONLY on what person is drawing? Wow, such specialist.
If you have nothing constructive to say, nor going to leave a good critique, leave artist alone.

Now I did it.
if you follow the paintbrush with your eyes while not moving your head, it forces you to use emdr which is a therapeutic technique to calm anxiety/panic. watching fish swim causes the same effect.
I don’t have a favorite post on Tumblr, I don’t have things that I ‘always’ reblog.
But this is one thing I love seeing on my dash, I love having it on my blog, it really helps to calm me down and its amazing.

This has been something that has been bothering me for the past few years, every time I encounter someone who’s just started as an artist, they put themselves down because they’re intimidated by artists who are more experienced. Intimidation is something that every artist has (or will) encounter in their lives, and they need to pull through that fear in order to grow as an artist. Take that intimidation and be inspired about it. What makes it intimidating? What makes their work look so unique? That’s where your learning opportunistic moments will occur, you find those reasons and you create something new out of all that you’ve learned!
I believe that anyone, ANYONE, can become an artist. It takes dedication and determination, but I promise you that drawing is one of the most rewarding art forms I’ve ever experienced. You will always learn something new with it, therefore, the fun never stops!
